History
Timo is a boy that discovers a magical book capable of transporting him to fantastic worlds. Living in a dystopic future scenario, where reading is outdated and trips to literary universes are uncommon, our protagonist, together with his father, tries to survive between the real and the extraordinary! Raul Aguiar is a graphic designer and uses vectors as base for creation of illustrations inspired on geek culture. Graduated in Design, he is a freelancer illustrator and makes collaborations with Brazilian magazines and issues such as Superinteressante, Exame, Folha de S. Paulo, Você S/A e Carta Capital. He has recently illustrated the awarded kids’ book series called "Fora de Cena" (free translation: “Out of Scene”), by Cia. das Letrinhas. Due to his peculiar art style, Raul was invited by Facebook to develop the Brazilian sticker pack “De Boa” (free translation: “No Stress”), which was released in June of 2016. In the same year, he created “Timo”, a comic book story full of fantasy and adventure and also participated at Comic Con Experience’s Artists’ Alley. Raul has participated in events such as ICON8 (Illustration Conference 2014), in Portland and Pictoplasma Academy and Festival (2015 and 2017), in Berlim, where he was also part of the collective art show called “Pop Tales”.
